How do you help?

I want to look and feel great but what am I getting into if I ask for style help?

Better style? Simpler style? That might be why you're here on this page. These are some of the things I'm known to create. Style is one of the more immediately noticeable components of image-making, branding, presence and personal communication.

It's significant AND it's only one piece of the important self-expression puzzle that helps you to look and feel great.

Good style gives you what you want from it if it's built to suit your true personality essence and your vision for yourself including your professional trajectory.

I don’t feel super comfortable on camera even though I know my stuff. What do you recommend?

I’m pretty confident about the way I look and speak, but if there’s something else I can do to sharpen things up I’m listening.

Why do you do this type of work?

Do I need to follow fashion trends?

Personally, I’m far from fashionista status. For most of us, life is not a runway show. I respect fashion. It's art and can be both inspirational and aspirational. That has value.

I use fashion is some of my work but it's not the focus. If we work together, YOU are the focus. Everything from your personal brand to the contents of your closet should be designed to support and showcase your unique views and charms.

You don't need to dress up to look good and you don't have to look good daily to be your most stylish and powerful self.

You can live in t-shirts and jeans for the most part of you like. I must say not all jeans and t-shirts are created equal. Even the most casual outfit carries a message and little tweaks can make a huge difference. We can talk more about that later though!

I’d love to re-do my style and brand but I’m worried about the cost. Is there an easy way to start?

About Zayna Rose

In the crowded landscape we face, customized and leveraged personal presence is a must if we want to influence and make a difference with our work. When we exude credibility, confidence and approachability we are able to reach our audience of one or thousands.

Zayna is an Image Strategist & Consultant at Zayna Rose Inc., her Toronto-based practice. Services involve personal branding, public image development, interpersonal communications coaching, media training and styling.

An international clientele includes those in finance, technology, law, communications and entertainment. Everyone from entrepreneurs to corporate executives and high-profile individuals are provided with customized image management strategies that can include PR and brand equity advice.

In addition to extensive image industry certifications, Zayna holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Psychology from Queen’s University and a Public Relations Certificate from the University of Victoria. Most recently, she’s become an expert in top techniques that help individuals to market their ventures online.

This education coupled with nineteen years of consulting experience results in her distinctive professional process and an approach that is practical, creative and contemporary.

Zayna is a Certified Image Professional (CIP) and has held numerous leadership positions on the global board of the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI).

Zayna is a TEDx Speaker and has been featured on national television and in newspapers such as CTV News Channel, The Globe and Mail, The Business News Network, CityTV, BBC online, CBC. Personality Style

A few personal details

I take ballet and sometimes theatre jazz dance classes

I’m fond of a healthy smoothie yet happy to eat cake for breakfast

I cannot get enough of Broadway shows and good comedy. Tell me, who's your favourite standup? I'm serious, tell me.

I'm a TV and talk show connoisseur. Addict you might say. My mind sometimes works like a Conan bit or an SNL sketch.

I learned to wear sneakers with my suits from my Dad. Stan Smiths and Rod Lavers go with everything. Dad also taught me it's totally fine to throw something over your PJs and go! Maybe that's where I learned that confidence is what makes an outfit work.

Toronto is home. I was born and raised here. I'm a very proud Canadian who rarely says "eh". This disappoints random people I meet overseas

I can make friends on an elevator ride, in a lineup or in the first few seconds of a virtual conversation.

I considered becoming a neuropsychologist or therapist.

On a recent trip to Scotland, I tried motorcycle riding, archery and falconry

I understand Spanish for the most part and am slowly getting back to speaking the language

I’m thinking of adopting a cockapoo or labradoodle. Or you know, some other sweet doodle-type in need of a loving home.

Favourite things about New York in autumn: the gorgeous trees in Central park, shopping for fall clothes, art galleries, the top of 30 Rock, bakeries, burgers and broadway (yes shows and cake are getting honourable second mentions)

The beach in Riviera Maya is a childhood vacation happy place. I love quality time in nature. Partial list of other places I love: Argentina, Spain, Italy, South Africa, Ireland
